Practise "I" Talk
Change these statements to follow the rules for how to speak up for yourself well. Be sure to use "I" statements.
- You never want to do anything fun with me.
- If we both agree to be on time, we would not be late all the time.
- No one picks up after themselves anymore.
- Why do I always get the boring jobs?
- No one ever tells me what is going on. They just expect me to guess.
- All you do is pick on me. You never say anything good about my work.
- They do not care about us. When did they ever listen to what we have to say?
- I feel it was thoughtless of you not to tell me first.
