Money Talks
Get a package of play money from a dollar store. Give each team member the same number of dollars at the start of the meeting.
Every time a team member wants to say something in the meeting, the person must give you one of their dollars. If a team member runs out of play money and wants to talk, the person must get another team member with money to share some of theirs. People can ask for a favour in trade for some of their money, if they want to. The people they ask can say no, if they want to.
This activity helps people see how much they talk in meetings compared with other team members. This can be a good first step to get quiet people to speak up more and other people to say less.
